Designed for optimum phase change
Our heatStixx and heatSel are designed in such a way that, in addition to a large surface area, the PCM layer thicknesses are kept so small that the entire PCM participates in the phase change process and thus efficient heat transfer (fast charging and discharging) is achieved even at very low temperature differences.

This daily load graph shows a typical power requirement over one day.
To cover the highest peaks, you need to install a heat generator that can cover the power peaks.
But at times of lower demand it does not run at full power or starts to clock. The operation can be optimized by using a smaller producer, which increases the full load hours.
However, this is only possible if you can already generate these power peaks at another time.
To do this, you must store the energy so that you can make it available later. This requires a higher storage capacity.

Higher efficiency

Increase the efficiency of your heat pump.
Your storage temperature remains constant for a longer period if you use heatStixx. So when you charge your storage tank, the storage tank temperature remains significantly lower after the phase change. This is cash money for your heat pump. Because by each higher °C, which this must provide, more energy is needed and that exponentially! This will result in a higher COP and a higher annual performance factor.
This also improves the use of condensing technology. This benefits from a similar effect. This, too, requires the lowest possible application temperature and is therefore only really profitable.

No matter whether you reduce the memory size or increase the storage capacity, you benefit in every case.
By reducing the memory size, you can significantly reduce the memory losses due to the reduced surface area. For example, your class B memory (ErP label) becomes class A and saves you money every year.
